Creating a Gmail Add-onGo to Lab
great learn something new
Gave up, as it seems there is a runtime error with the example script: Object does not have property - /Card/sections/widgets/selection_control/items. [line: 58, function: buildAddOn, file: Code]
Gave up, as it seems dangerous to try to do this on a chromebook when logged in using a Google account already ... will try again on a PC!
Authentication was tricky for this one (with MacOS Google Chrome). Logged in with my personal Google account to do the lab, the account was super sticky with respect to the links to the special Qwiklabs Google account to do the lab with GSuite. I had to go through some significant contortions to stay out of my personal account in order to edit the Gmail Add-on with the right account, so the Add-on could be installed and accessed from the student account's GMail settings and within the GMail account. First few false starts had me editing the scripts in the context of my personal account. If that can be fixed or improved, that would be lovely. ALSO, again, links within the lab are opening within the same tab, which is inconvenient, because I have to click the back button on the browser, then right-click the link and choose "Open in new tab". Which you can fix by opening with target="_blank" within the href HTML tag.
Am stopped with the error message: This developer add-on is restricted by policies within your organization. And cannot complete the lab.
