Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Firewall: Securing GKE Clusters

1 hour 7 Credits

Google Cloud Self-Paced Labs

In this lab, you deploy a VM-Series next generation firewall to provide security to a simple, two-tiered Guestbook application in a Kubernetes cluster. After deploying the Kubernetes nodes as the web service tier and a DB service tier, you step through how to secure inbound and outbound traffic, to and from GCP with a focus on using the VM-Series firewall to secure the traffic to and from the Kubernetes cluster.

What you'll do

  • Create a Kubernetes cluster

  • Deploy a Guestbook application

  • Secure inbound and outbound traffic for the application
